The European Commission today announced the winners of a € 1 billion competition for future and emerging technologies (FETs). The winning initiatives – “graphene” and “human brain” – will each benefit from one billion euros, thus funding ten years of world-class science at the intersection of science and technology. Each initiative involves researchers from at least 15 EU Member States and almost 200 research institutes. ”
